Over the Rainbow is a charming cabin that is situated perfectly on the Little Red River with a private dock. When you walk inside you will immediately be greeted with that rustic fishing cabin feel. The home features a queen bed downstairs and a full bed in the loft. Its sister cabin, Magic Mist, is also available for rent and is located right next door (sleeps 4).

The Location: Over the Rainbow is just three miles from Lobo Landing Marina and a 10 minute drive from downtown Heber Springs where you will find restaurants, shopping, movie theater, and more!

  This cabin has so much potential. The location was amazing! Quiet, peaceful and tranquil. We used the deck extensively. There were several nice deck amenities. Blackstone griddle, charcoal grill, and an electric smoker. They provided charcoal, fluid and smoking chips. All were dirty. The smoker and griddle had rancid drain/smoke pans. The inside of the property was clean but needed deep cleaned. Cobwebs in corners, hairs on the chair slipcover, and in the bathroom and dirty pans (burnt on crud). The outside needs a lot of work. The outdoor furniture had seen better days, and the cushions were dirty. Both need refreshed/replaced. There was a bed frame under the cabin, and some moldy lifejackets. There is a boat out front, that needs hauled off. It’s got standing water in it and is an Invitation for mosquitoes.
  
  The cabin stated it sleeps 4. It sleeps two, safely. The loft is a liability if you want someone to sleep in it. The ladder is almost straight up and down. I asked if the jacuzzi tub worked and was told yes. Half of the jets worked, and the 1990’s tub is full of crazing. It’s past time to replace.
  
  The bed was comfortable. The chairs need replacing. They are old and tired. The kitchen sink has no finish left on it. Needs replaced. It was a much needed getaway and had some wonderful touches. However, it’s time for to refresh/replace/restore/clean up.
  
  We loved the deck! We stayed out on the deck, the vast majority of the time. We went nowhere. It was wonderful to be secluded and being on the river. We couldn’t enjoy the dock as the ramp was way too steep.
  
  Great location, easy check in and I have recommended it to friends, as a tranquil getaway. The manager provided excellent service.

  Our anniversary stay at this rustic cabin in Heber Springs was exactly what we were hoping for. The experience started off strong because the check in process required no talking to anyone. We simply confirmed our arrival through text and received the access code and all the important details by email. Everything was smooth and effortless.
  
  The cabin itself was truly rustic and charming. It was quiet in the most perfect way. The surrounding area had very little activity and that created a peaceful atmosphere that we really appreciated. I loved having my morning coffee on the nearly fully wrapped around porch and took advantage of the grill several times. We also spent time down on the dock along the Little Red River watching boats go by and listening to the wildlife.
  
  There are several nice restaurants close by and I even found a few great places to look for antiques. The entire trip was incredibly relaxing and we ended up adding an extra day because we enjoyed it so much and the cabin was still available.
  
  Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful, no stress getaway.

  Cabin was awesome, clean and super cozy. Close to Lobo landing where I rented a fishing boat. The only downside was the slope of the ramp to the small dock was way too steep! Too difficult to navigate if you wanted to carry anything down.

  Overall very nice. Quiet and peaceful and had all we needed in the house. The outside could use a little TLC but there may be circumstances I don't know about. The stairs leading down to the river deck needs attention.

  Been a while since we’ve rented one of our favorite places to stay. Loved absolutely everything about it. Brought my boat up this time with me and had best fishing ever on very quiet place on the river. Took about an hour to navigate the extreme low water and had to drag boat over a few low shoals because I put in at lowest flow (my bad). Great fishing. Went to butcher shop and snagged best steaks and had a first class cooker located on the deck. Bed was magically comfortable and was able to soak my tired body in a fabulous jetted tub. Internet and TV worked wonderfully. My wife like to sit on expansive deck while I fished. Loved the overall improvements that have been made. I hope this place isn’t booked next time we’re ready to go. Pack light - cabin has everything. It’s romantic. It’s great location. It’s actually one of the nicest places on the river located in one of the best fishing location. At the end - we hauled out the trash, clicked our heels three times and in 1.5 hours we were back home in Kansas - oops - Benton. Thanks for the fantasy fish & romantic place to renew our passions.

  OVER THE RAINBOW IS WHERE MY WIFE & I LOVE TO STAY. IT'S OUR FAVORITE CABIN THERE. DURING MY EVERYDAY LIFE OF WORK AND THE DEMANDS OF MY JOB, KEEPING UP UP WITH THE YARD WORK. I NEEDED THIS MINI VACATION. THE CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN AND NEAT. EVERYTHING IS PROVIDED FOR LIKE THE KITCHEN AND ANYTHING ENVOLVED IN IT. COMFORTABLE BED, COUCH, LOUNGE CHAIR & ALL THE PATIO FURNITURE VERY COMFORTABLE. EASY ACCESS TO FISHING DOCK. LOVE THAT THE BACKYARD HAS BEEN CLEARED OUT. CHARCOAL GRILL FOR GRILLING AND A NEW BLACKSTONE COOKER AS A BONUS. WILL BE GOING BACK SOON.
